Case Study Canberra Cocktail Event
Organising a cocktail event is always fun, especially if it takes you to another city or even better, travelling overseas! Although we are based in Sydney, we can assist with events in lots of places in Australia. This month we hosted a cocktail event for 200 guests in Canberra.
Zenith Interiors was opening a new showroom and they wanted to throw a party to celebrate.
The theme was “premiere” and guests were dressed to impress and entertained by a jazz band on the night.
Creativity Project was hired to host the cocktail bar at the event and give guests an unforgettable experience. The event was a huge success and we had so much fun organising it. Here’s an insight into the event and preparation.
We created two cocktail recipes using local gin. One was a pink watermelon fruity cocktail, with a mint spring and pineapple garnish. The second recipe was using a violet gin, with a sour and cherry flavour. Both were a hit with guests! We blended a whopping 25 watermelons to make our cocktail. As we were working with a violet gin, we made sure the other cocktail complimented it.
We have such a great team at Creativity Project and they killed it on the night. If you need people to staff an event, go for quality staff over their location. Don’t compromise on good people. Put money into transporting them to the event, if you need to. It’s much better to have staff you trust.
Our team was kitted out in jazz themed outfits. The boys with bow ties and braces and the ladies wore black dresses. We looked great, even if I do say so myself.
Preparing for an out of town event takes more time than normal. It’s important to do your research on the location, what’s available at the venue and what you need to transport there. The last thing you want is to get to the event and realise you’ve forgotten your favourite bar equipment or glasses.
