The Espresso-tini with a twist

The popularity of the Espresso Martini started around 1995 in London. Rumour has it the simple recipe of Vodka, Mexican coffee liqueur, syrup and fresh espresso was created for models that needed more energy during their long shows. To keep going, they started to drink coffee mixed with vodka and syrup. Before long, the most popular bars in London were serving the energy boosting cocktail for their model clientele.

Since then, the Espresso Martini has become one of the most notorious and loved cocktails. So much so, mixologists all across the world are now serving up their twist of the classic.

The cocktail is best enjoyed after dinner, but can really be enjoyed at any time of the day or night. Well you probably don’t want to drink one right before bed!

Dessert Martini

Ingredients:

  • Fresh espresso

  • Vodka

  • Orange and coffee liqueur

  • Vanilla syrup

  • hocolate bitter.

Garnish with a mint chocolate and coconut rimmed glass. Serve with chocolate mousse, sprinkled with nutmeg.

  • Coconut milk

  • Coffee liqueur

  • Orange bitter

  • Vodka

Garnish with ground coffee.
